West Wiltshire Green Party was re-formed in 2007 to promote Green policies and candidates in the area, particularly in Trowbridge and Bradford-on-Avon. We have a great prospective parliamentary candidate Bob Lee and a small but healthy local party that meets every second Monday of the month at the Swan Hotel in Bradford on Avon 7.30-9.00. Please get in contact with me (David McQueen – West Wilts Green Part contact) if you think you can make it and there will be a welcome drink ready for you! I can be emailed at damcqueen@yahoo.com
The Green Party is now the only progressive party left on the scene and has a chance to make a real difference. We mustn’t allow the betrayal of ordinary voters by the major political parties to lead to political apathy and disengagement – that would only benefit those who have got us into the financial, social and environmental mess we are in. Join with us in the fight against the cuts, against Trident and the nuclear industry, against the corporate capture of political decision making. Help us in the struggle for a living wage, a low carbon economy, protecting the National Health Service, restoring free higher education, reforming the banking system and much more.
If you have never read the Green Party’s manifesto please do so. We think you’ll see how these truly democratic policies are a blueprint for economic recovery, survival and hope.
